De `Abdullah bin Rabaha [qui rapporte] d'un homme parmi les Compagnons du Prophète - ﷺ - que le Messager d'Allah a prié la prière du `Asr, et cet homme s'est [immédiatement] levé debout pour prier. `Umar l'a vu et lui a dit : « Assieds-toi, car en effet les gens du Livre ont été détruits car ils n'ont pas laissé un écart de temps après leur prière [obligatoire]. »

Le Prophète - ﷺ - lui a dit :

أحسن ابن الخطاب

« Tu as bien fait Ô Ibn al-Khattab! »

From `Abdullah bin Rabaha from a man who was from the Companions of the Prophet - ﷺ - that the Messenger of Allah had prayed the `Asr prayer, and this man (immediately) stood up to pray. `Umar saw him and said to him "Sit down, since indeed the people of the Book were destroyed because they did not leave a gap after their (obligatory) prayer."

The Prophet - ﷺ - said to him:

أحسن ابن الخطاب

"You have done well O Ibn Khattab!"
