Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (m. 728 A.H ou 1328 du calendrier Grégorien) a dit :

وكان من أواخر ما خاطبت به النصراني : أن قلت له : أنتم مشركون وبينت من شركهم ما هم عليه من العكوف على التماثيل والقبور وعبادتها والاستغاثة بها .
قال لي : نحن ما نشرك بهم ولا نعبدهم وإنما نتوسل بهم كما يفعل المسلمون إذا جاءوا إلى قبر الرجل الصالح فيتعلقون بالشباك الذي [ ص: 462 ] عليه ونحو ذلك . فقلت له : وهذا أيضا من الشرك ليس هذا من دين المسلمين وإن فعله الجهال فأقر أنه شرك حتى إن قسيسا كان حاضرا في هذه المسألة . فلما سمعها قال : نعم على هذا التقدير نحن مشركون .

Dans mon dernier débat avec les Chrétiens, je leur ai dit qu’ils étaient des Mushrikûn (ceux qui associent d’autres dans l’adoration ou la vénération d’Allah) et la raison pour laquelle ils sont des Mushrikûn est que vous vénérez et adorez vos idoles et les tombes et vous demandez leur aide (des occupants des tombes). Alors il a répondu : « Nous ne les associons pas (à Allah) et nous ne les adorons pas, nous les prenons plutôt comme Wasîlah (moyens) tout comme (certains) Musulmans le font en allant aux tombes des saints pieux et les embrassant et faisant d’autres actes similaires. »

J’ai répondu : « Et ceci est aussi une forme de Shirk et ceci n’est pas de la religion des Muslimîn même si certains Musulmans ignorants le font (et j’ai continué à discuter) jusqu’à ce qu’ils ont accepté que ceci était Shirk (associer d’autres dans le culte et les actes de vénération d’Allah), si bien qu’un savant Chrétien qui était présent là a dit en entendant cela (c.-à-d. notre débat) : « Oui. Si c’est comme ça, alors nous sommes Mushrikûn. »

فالنصارى يفرحون بما يفعله أهل البدع والجهل من المسلمين مما يوافق دينهم ويشابهونهم فيه ويحبون أن يقوى ذلك ويكثر

(Il convient de noter que) les Chrétiens (et les non-Musulmans en général) deviennent heureux de ce que les Musulmans ignorants et bid`ati font car ils (les Musulmans ignorants) arrivent à se mettre d’accord et à imiter leur religion (des chrétiens, et leurs coutumes) et ceci est ce qu’ils veulent vraiment surmonter (les Musulmans) et d’augmenter (leur présence et pratiques religieuses) en (grand) nombre.

Remarque : Si cela vous a offensé car vous pensez que ce que le savant géant Ibn Taymiyyah a dit, alors cela veut dire vous continuez de rendre les Chrétiens heureux avec vos croyances religieuses.

In my last debate with the Christians I told them that they are mushrikoon (those who associate others in worship or veneration with Allah) and the reason for them being mushrikoon is that you venerate worship your idols and the graves and seek assistance from them (the ones in graves) so he replied “ Neither do we associate them (with Allah) nor do we worship them rather we take them as waseelah (means) just as how (some) Muslims do by going to the graves of pious saints and embracing them and other similar deeds.

I replied “ And this also is a form of shirk and this is not from the religion of Muslimeen even if some ignorant muslims do it (and I kept discussing) until they accepted this is shirk (associating worship and acts of veneration with Allah) so much so that a Christian scholar who was present there upon hearing this (i.e. our debate) said “ Yes if this is how it is then we are mushrikoon”

فالنصارى يفرحون بما يفعله أهل البدع والجهل من المسلمين مما يوافق دينهم ويشابهونهم فيه ويحبون أن يقوى ذلك ويكثر

(It should be noted that) the Christians (and Non Muslims in general) get happy from what the Ignorant and bid`ati Muslims do because they (ignorant Muslims) happen to agree and imitate their (Christian’s) religion (and customs) and this is what they truly want to overcome (the Muslims) and to increase (their presence and religious practises) in number

Le Succès est seulement à travers l’Islam

Nous étions le plus déshonoré des peuples, et Allah nous a accordé l’honneur avec l’Islam. Maintenant, à chaque fois que nous recherchons l’honneur en dehors de ce dont Allah nous a honorés, Allah nous déshonorera (encore une fois).

La tranquillité d’esprit, le contentement, le bonheur et le fait d’être libéré de soucis et d’anxiété…ce sont ce que tout le monde veut et ce sont les façons dont les gens peuvent avoir une bonne vie et trouver le bonheur complet et la joie. Il existe des moyens religieux d’acquérir cela, et des moyens naturels et pratiques, mais personne ne peut les combiner tous sauf les croyants; bien que d’autres peuvent obtenir certains d’entre eux, ils vont en manquer d’autres.

Allah (Subhanahu wa ta‘la) dit dans le Qur’an

Quiconque, mâle ou femelle, fait une bonne œuvre tout en étant croyant, Nous lui ferons vivre une bonne vie. Et Nous les récompenserons, certes, en fonction des meilleures de leurs actions. (an-Nahl : 97)

Allah le Plus Juste et le Plus Véridique nous dit et nous promet que quiconque combine la foi avec les bonnes œuvres auront une bonne vie et une bonne récompense dans ce monde et dans l’au-delà.

Le Prophète (paix et bénédictions d’Allah soient sur lui) a dit : « Ce que l’affaire du croyant est étonnante! Son affaire ne comporte (pour lui) que du bien : s’il est l’objet d’un événement heureux, il remercie Allah et c’est là pour lui une bonne chose. S’il est victime d’un malheur, il l’endure avec patience et c’est là encore pour lui une bonne chose. Ceci ne s’applique à personne sauf le croyant. » (Muslim)

Le Prophète (paix et bénédictions soient sur lui) nous a dit que le croyant est toujours en train de gagner et la récompense pour ses œuvres est toujours multipliée, peu importe ce qu’il lui arrive, que ce soit quelque chose de bon ou de mauvais.

La clé est la patience, Allah ta‘ala dit :

Très certainement, Nous vous éprouverons par un peu de peur, de faim et de diminution de biens, de personnes et de fruits. Et fais la bonne annonce aux endurants, qui disent, quand un malheur les atteint : « Certes nous sommes à Allah, et c’est à Lui que nous retournerons. » Ceux-là reçoivent des bénédictions de leur Seigneur, ainsi que la miséricorde; et ceux-là sont les biens guidés. (al-Baqarah : 155-157)

Allah est en train de nous dire que nous serons éprouvés, Est-ce que les gens pensent qu’on les laissera dire : « Nous croyons! » sans les éprouver? (al-‘Ankabut : 2)

Et Il nous explique en outre que ceux qui disent « Certes nous sommes à Allah, et c’est à Lui que nous retournerons », ce sont ceux sur lesquels il y a bénédictions de leur Seigneur et miséricorde et ce sont ceux qui sont les bien guidés.

Ceci est ce que nous voulons, et c’est ce que nous aspirons à faire, c’est pour cela que nous vivons, nous vivons pour l’adoration d’Allah (Subhanahu wa ta‘ala), nous vivons pour chercher son Plaisir et seulement Son plaisir comme Ibn Qayyim le dit : « Chaque goutte de sueur et chaque souffle que nous prenons dans la vie, si pas pris pour Allah, mènera au regret et à la tristesse au Jour du Jugement. » 

Tout cela est fait, pour que quand nous rencontrons Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta‘ala) au Jour du Jugement, sachant que nous avons fait de notre mieux dans cette vie et dans l’espoir de Sa Miséricorde, Il puisse nous faire entrer et accepter dans Son Paradis. Qu’Allah accorde à tous les Musulmans le plus Haut Niveau du Paradis, Amîn.

Success is Only through Islam

We were the most disgraced of people, and Allah granted us honour with Islam. Now, whenever we seek honour in other than what Allah honoured us with, Allah shall disgrace us (once again).
  – Umar Bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)

Peace of mind, contentment, happiness and freedom from worries and anxiety… these are what everyone wants and these are the ways in which people can have a good life and find complete happiness and joy. There are religious means of achieving that, and natural and practical means, but no one can combine all of them except the believers; although other people may achieve some of them, they will miss out on others.

Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) says in the Qur’an

Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do. (an-Nahl: 97)

Allah the Most Just, the Most Truthful tells us and promises us that whoever combines faith with righteous deeds will have a good life and a good reward in this world and in the Hereafter.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “How wonderful is the situation of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer.” (Muslim) 

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us that the believer is always gaining and the reward for his deeds is always multiplying, no matter what happens to him, good or bad.

The key is patience, Allah ta’ala says,

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return." Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. (al-Baqarah: 155-157)

Allah is telling us that we will be tested, Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested. (al-`Ankabut: 2)

And He further explains to us those who say “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return”, these are the ones upon whom blessings from their Lord and mercy and it is those who are the rightly guided. 

This is what we want, and this is what we strive for, this is what we live for, we live for the worship of Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala), we live to seek His Pleasure and Only His pleasure as Ibn Qayyim said: "Every drop of sweat and every breath we take in life, if not taken for the sake of Allah, will lead to regret and sorrow on the Day of Judgement."

This is all done, so that when we meet Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) on the Day of Judgement, knowing we did our best in this life and hoping for His Mercy that He may enter us and accept us into His Paradise. May Allah grant all the Muslims the Highest Level of Paradise, Ameen.
