Sa’id Bin ‘Aamir nous a rapporté de Asmaa’ Bin ‘Ubayd qui a dit :

- « Deux individus parmi les gens des passions sont entrés chez Ibn Sirin et dirent :

- « Ô Abu Bakr (Ibn Sirin) ! Laisse-nous te raconter un hadith ? ».

- « Non ! » Répondit-il.

- Ils dirent : « Pouvons-nous alors te réciter un Verset du Livre d’Allaah ? ».

- « Non ! Insista-t-il. Sortez d’ici ou sinon c’est moi qui sors ! ».

- « Alors les deux hommes sortirent.

- « Ô Abu Bakr ! Quel mal y avait-il s'ils te récitaient un Verset du Livre d'Allaah? »

« Je crains qu’ils me fassent entendre un Verset puis le déforme, et qui risquerait de s’ancrer dans mon cœur. »

Sa'id Bin 'Aamir narrated to us from Asmaa' Bin 'Ubayd who said:

-" Two followers of desires (innovation) came to Ibn Sirin et said:

- 'Ô Abu Bakr (Ibn Sirin)! Should we narrate a Hadith to you?'

- He replied 'No!'

- They said: 'Should we then recite to you a verse from the Book of Allah?'

- He replied 'No, you should leave or else I will leave'

- So the two men stood and left.

- Some of the people said to him, ‘What harm would it do to you if they recited an aayah?’

- He said, ‘I disliked that they read an aayah to me and then distort it, so that this falls into my heart.'”
