Ibn al-Qayyim (m. 751 AH) a dit :
« En ce qui concerne les partisans ignorants et aveugles, alors ne lui
faites aucune attention. Ne vous laissez pas offenser par ses insultes,
son excommunication (Takfîr) [de vous] et sa déclaration [que vous êtes]
égarés. Certainement, cela est comme l’aboiement d’un chien, alors ne
rendez pas le chien important en le répondant à chaque fois qu’il aboie
sur vous. Laissez-le dans la joie avec son aboiement.
Et vous, vous-même, réjouissez-vous de la vertu que vous avez reçu par rapport à lui par le biais de la science, la foi (Îmân) et la guidance. Faites de votre détournement de lui une partie de la gratitude pour la bénédiction d’Allâh qu’Il vous a donné et accordé. »

Do not allow his insults to offend you , nor his excommunication (Takfeer) [of you], nor his declaring [you to be] misguided. Certainly, it is like the barking of a dog, so do not make the dog important by responding to it every time it barks at you. Leave it in delight with its barking.
And you, yourself, rejoice about the virtue you have been given over him by way of knowledge, faith (Eemaan) and guidance. Make your turning away from him part of thankfulness for the blessing of Allaah that He has given you and bestowed upon you."
