Dihyah a rapporté :

Mansur al-Kalbi a dit : « Dihyah ibn Khalifah est sorti une fois d’un village de Damas à autant de distance que cela mesure entre `Aqabah et al-Fustât durant le Ramadan; et cela est de trois miles. Il a ensuite rompu son jeûne et les gens ont rompu leur jeûne avec lui. Mais certains d’entre eux ont détesté de rompre leur jeûne. Lorsqu’il est revenu à son village, il a dit : "Je jure par Allah, aujourd’hui j’ai été témoin d’une chose dont je ne pouvais même pas penser voir. Les gens ont détesté la Sunnah/pratique du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et de ses Compagnons." Il a dit ceci à ceux qui jeûnaient. À ce moment-là, il a dit : "Ô Allah, fais-moi mourir." »

Narrated Dihyah:

Mansur al-Kalbi said: Dihyah ibn Khalifah once went out from a village of Damascus at as much distance as it measures between Aqabah and al-Fustat during Ramadan; and that is three miles. He then broke his fast and the people broke their fast along with him. But some of them disliked to break their fast. When he came back to his village, he said: "I swear by Allah, today I witnessed a thing of which I could not even think to see. The people detested the sunnah/way of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and his Companions." He said this to those who fasted. At this moment he said: "O Allah, make me die."
