Rapporté par Jabir Bin `Abdillâh (RadiAllahu `Anhuma) : « Je me rendis un jour chez le Prophète (ﷺ) afin de lui consulter au sujet de la dette de mon père. Quand j’ai frappé à sa porte, il a dit : "Qui est-ce?" Je lui ai répondu : "Moi". Il a dit : "Moi, moi?" Il l’a répété comme s’il l’avait détesté. »

Il est des bonnes manières que lorsque vous frappez sur une porte, vous ne dites pas simplement : « moi », mais vous vous identifiez comme il faut.

Narrated Jabir Bin Abdillaah (radiyallaahu-anhuma): I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) in order to consult him regarding my father’s debt. When I knocked at the door, he asked, ”Who is that?” I replied, ”I.” He said, ”I”, ”I?” He repeated it as if he disliked it.

It is from good manners that when you knock upon a door, you don’t merely say: “I” but identify yourself properly.
